The Lufbery Flyers Radio Control Club is an AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) non-profit organization supporting the flying of radio controlled airplanes, helicopters, and small multi-rotor aircraft. As an AMA organization our club provides a safe and organized site for hobby enjoyment.
We fly at “Lufbery Aerodrome” in Cedar Creek Park, Seaford NY. Our field has two 400-foot intersecting paved runways and plenty of parking space. We fly anything from micro to giant scale airplanes and helicopters, powered by electric, glow or gas motors/engines.
A Pleasant Atmosphere
Lufbery Flyers welcome newcomers interested in getting into the hobby as well as experienced RC pilots, from 12 to … years of age. Our club has dedicated instructors available to help you become a qualified radio controlled pilot. Members are friendly and helpful. We’ll do our best to get you up and flying in short order.
We encourage and support most flying model activities especially those listed below:
Smallest to the largest of models
Sport planes and Scale models
Helicopters and small Quad Racers
AMA Aerobatics & IMAC Scale Aerobatics
Electric, glow and gas engine power
